A few of our recent reviews

  • Outstanding Gem

We have just returned from our third visit of the year, and once again we were not disappointed.  Alli and Brenda are two of the loveliest and friendliest ladies you will ever meet. The property is spotless and filled with special touches everywhere, our room was exceptionally comfortable and the small personal items provided are most welcome.

Brenda is a fantastic cook, the breakfasts and the evening meals are superb, you will go home feeling very full.  Alli is a most charming hostess and with the other guests it was just like being with friends.  The establishment is located by the north shore in a quiet road and very close to the bus and tram stops if you require them.

Many congratulations on your latest award it is more than well deserved for all the effort and hardwork you put into your business.  We will see you next year.

Kindest regards from John and Sylvia xx.

    Home from home

We are just back from our yearly visit to the Grosvenor View and as the title suggets back from visiting friends.

Run by mother and daughter Brenda and Allison you get a friendly welcome. The rooms are comfortable and clean with all the usual toiletries. There are only 4 rooms though so if you want to book give them a ring.

Brenda cooks a lovely full english alongside other options. There are a large amount of cereals and fresh fruit.

The GV is situated in the more pleasant north part of blackpool just up from Gynn square. But you are 2 minutes walk to a bus or tram stop. So literally anywhere in blackpool is accessible.

They also do evening meals on request. We have never tried them but i am sure they are delicious. We will be back next year.

    Best wishes x

  • Wow - What More can I say!!

We have just stayed at The Grosvenor View for the first time and it definitely won’t be the last! What a perfect, peaceful place and a real find. Brenda and Allison are fantastic, friendly hosts and nothing is too much trouble.

We stayed in the Third Duke of Westminster - a lovely, light, airy room with a sea view. It was immaculate and so many lovely touches, such as chocolates, biscuits and even a first aid kit!

Allison’s guide to Blackpool is a must read! I’ll certainly be looking out for the Phantom Tram next time I’m there.

Breakfast was amazing - so much choice! You must try the signature pancake with honey and mustard dressing, it’s delicious!! But being more of a full English type - this was my choice most days - you can select when you want and it’s all cooked fresh with great quality ingredients. There are cereals, fruit, yoghurts, toast and a supply of tea and coffee and any type of juice you could want - all served with laughs and giggles.

We also had dinner here couple of nights and the quality was excellent! And portions were huge!! The only complaint was my husband was so full, he could only manage one pint of Guinness!! (Other stouts are available!)

All in all, it’s been a lovely week and we couldn’t have asked for anything more. Definitely stay here - you won’t be disappointed!

Judy got back from a lovely long weekend at the Grosvenor view. We have been coming here for about 14 years.

Alli and Brenda always give a warm welcome and nothing is too much trouble. I can see why you have won so many awards.

The food is second to none, the service is fantastic. Alli and Brenda are very knowledgeable of the area.

The room we stay in is brilliant, very clean and has everything you could want and more.

Thank you again for a very enjoyable stay. See you again soon.
