Dinner is served at 5.30pm in the dining room, with an extensive dinner menu, we encourage guests to choose what they would prefer for their evening meal, (subject to availability). All food is cooked fresh to order using locally sourced produce wherever possible.
A perfect weekend our room was newley decorated bright clean and comfortable. The en-suite was spacious with plenty of hot water. The valentine's meal was top quality served to perfection. The table was nicely decorated with a valentine's theme. Brenda and Allison helped me out with a surprise I had planned for the evening my proposal to my long term partner christine. Allison took photos of us and even surprised us with a bouquet of flowers. Thank you both for looking after us.
For those wishing to book this B&B don't hesitate it's a perfect little gem you will be hard pressed to find better in Blackpool.
HOME FROM HOME
Only just got around to reviewing the GV. We make a journey to Blackpool every year and book with Alli and Brenda around 12 months in advance. As we would not want to stay anywhere else.
As has been said many times before on this page it really is like visiting old friends. Nothing is too much trouble. Everything has been thought of and the little touches are of a high standard.
There are only 4 rooms so book in early. Situated a stone's throw from the seafront which means a 2 minute walk to the tram stop. It is in the quieter north part of Blackpool. But if you want to see all that it has to offer the tram stop is very close by.
Brenda cooks a lovely fresh breakfast. From the full English to a selection of special dishes. A huge selection of cereals and yoghurt etc.
All the rooms are kept to an immaculate standard and are very comfortable. We are booked in again for the illuminations in October.
See you both soon xx
SNOW WHAT SNOW?
My first visit to the GV for 2018, with a few more already booked in advance. No way am I going to regret booking because I know Brenda and Alli will do a marvellous job keeping me warm, fed and watered during my stay.
A newly decorated dining room and bed rooms with new showers adds to what is an already well looked after and very clean Guest House. With a varied menu to suit all tastes it takes a lot to beat it, far in advance of some 4 star Guest Houses.
What you see is what you get and not altered when Inspectors visit. If it's entertainment you're looking for it's not far away, just a few strides up to the promenade. Go on try it!
CHRISTMAS COME EARLY
Stayed with Brenda and Alli last weekend for their Christmas sparkle event and it really did sparkle!
This was our third visit to this immaculate guest house and the friendliest of hosts (you really do arrive as guests but leave as friends)
Food fabulous an amazing choice nothing too much trouble will be back next year.
