'A Treasure in Blackpool's Chest'
Our stay at the Grosvenor view was fantastic!
A warm welcome awaits you from Brenda & Allison.
The facilities are impeccable, the whole guest house is immaculately presented and is beautifully clean. Guest parking made the stay so much easier. Allison and Brenda couldn't have been more obliging, they really do make everyone feel special during their stay.
The guest bedrooms are tastefully decorated and very comfortable- a very good nights sleep was enjoyed by our whole party. The ensuite bathrooms were beautifully presented with good quality complementary toiletries for use, super quality towels are provided, including the thoughtful touch of a special one for make up removal, great to prevent the awkwardness of a mascara smear on a towel. We really felt like we were the first to use the room.... A rare but welcome feeling, as we know this is due to the hard work and care shown by the 2 lady owners.
After our lovely nights sleep we were given the widest choice if breakfast options, there was something for all tastes. My husband relished a full English on day 1 and wolfed the kippers on day 2! I must say for me, Brenda's Eggs Benedict are some if the best I have eaten, and will be on the menu for our return visits .. Of which I'm sure there will be plenty .
“Excellent hotel for our Blackpool Airshow visit. 10/10”
We made a special trip for the Blackpool Airshow and we found this absolute gem of a hotel. My fiancé and I were made welcome as soon as we arrived by Alison and Brenda. we then were given our key for our room and we were over the moon with the quality and style of the room. everything you would ever need was there and even things you wouldn't expect like a shoe shiner (which I needed) and a sewing kit.
in the room we had tea, coffee, bottled water, hot chocolate and biscuits.
another nice touch was the 4 chocolates that were left in the room for us, a nice touch indeed. we were given a menu on the afternoon for the breakfast the day after.
I had the full English breakfast every morning which was beautiful but my fiancé was a bit more adventurous than me. On the first morning she had the waffles with strawberries, raspberries and grapes, and on the second day she had the pancakes filled with bacon and scrambled egg with honey and mustard dressing. she totally loved both dishes and on the last day had the waffles again.
I really cant praise the service enough. nothing was too much hassle.
Lovely Hotel, Lovely Room, Amazing Food and 2 Great People who run it.
DONT GO ANYWHERE ELSE IN BLACKPOOL. We wont. That's why we booked up for next year as soon as we were leaving, with other members of the family wanting to go too.
“Hidden tresure of Blackpool”
This guesthouse was a charming and pleasant surprise to our stay in Blackpool. The owners were extremely friendly and could not do enough for us to make our stay enjoyable. The room was spacious and extremely comfortable. Cleaned everyday with top ups of towels and tea and coffee also nice biscuits. The breakfasts were amazing most definatly recommend the waffles with syrup and strawberries and raspberries amazing. Located in a quieter area of Blackpool with a short 5min ride on the tram or a short walk into the bustling main front. We have been so impressed with this hidden gem we have already booked up for next year.
We couldn't have been more lucky than to have come across the Grosvenor View. It is run by a very welcoming mother and daughter. Brenda and Allison are fantastic hosts and nothing is too much trouble. The Grosvenor View is in a quite area of Blackpool with bus and tram stops close by.
The house is kept immaculate. It has 4 spacious bedrooms with fantastic on-suites. I would class it as a 4 star accommodation as I have stayed in many in Blackpool and this was by far the friendliest, cleanest, quietest and had the most comfortable beds. There was a lot of extra's in the room, much more than the standard hot drinks and biscuits tray. They had bottled water, chocolates, clothes brush, shoe horn, hairdryer plus much more. When it came to breakfast, I have to say it was the best. You can tell they used quality sausages, bacon etc. and they made sure you had more than enough.
We only went for a 2 night stay and ended up having an extra night although we would have liked more. We will definitely be returning and recommending The Grosvenor to anyone we know who might be thinking of visiting Blackpool. We left as friends. Our message to Brenda and Allison. You are doing a wonderful service. The Grosvenor is a credit to you. Keep up the good work. Mick and Marie Kenwood.
